Apple Making Bold Move in Education Market

according to this Apple press release. "Apple announced plans to acquire PowerSchool, the leading provider of web-based student information systems for K-12 schools and school districts. PowerSchool gives school administrators and teachers the ability to manage student records and lets parents track their children's progress. The PowerSchool student information system has been selected by 2,000 schools nationwide." Apple has already demonstrated that it can field the best hardware for education at an education price point in the Michigan technology in education initiative and in recently lowering its feature-packed entry level iMac for education to $799. Now Apple is adding the leading education software to its quiver. Price and essential software availability are two principal considerations in purchasing hardware.
