Apple Store Opening at Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY, Plus Photos

I was at the Crossgates Mall Apple Store grand opening and have some pictures.

This was my third Apple Store grand opening and my fourth Apple store. This opening was at least as much a party as my first except that I was much closer to the head of the line this time. In the 2nd opening, at Tampa International Plaza the mood was subdued due to the events of the previous week. There was none of that here. Everybody was extremely psyched. I even bought a laser printer. I have held off buying any Apple goods since my cube this spring but somehow it seemed the right time this Saturday.

My wife and I had so much fun at this opening and at the NorthShore opening that we're going to try to make the next opening as well. We're not sure if that will be West Farms/Hartford CT or local to us in New Hampshire. Crossgates was a 3 hour drive for us and we stayed overnight locally to make sure we made it to the mall early.

I had great fun meeting the people who were on line and exchanging e-mail addresses. The best time was had by those who brought airport equipped laptops since they were able to take advantage of Apple's LAN while waiting in line. Great fun.
