Cubes Being Discontinued?

The Register web site posted a note to that effect last Friday. The Tyson's Corner Apple Store had no $1299 450 MHz, DVD drive, entry-level models in stock and clerks didn't know when, if ever, more would arrive. However, they had plenty of the models with CD-RW drives. The clerks said that the Cube had not been discontinued, at least not yet. I suspect this rumor will spur a modest rush on the Cubes which we have called the best general computer ever made for its small size, G4 functionality, silence and gorgeous design.
