Faster Analog 56K Modems
with the V.92 specification are shipping. With our cable modem we frequently forget that most people still connect to the internet with analog modems. The new specification, V.92, is out. V.92 permits more stable connections, faster connections and much faster uploads. The latter is the most important feature as it moves uploads from a maximum of 33.6K to 48K at a time when software updates are becoming more interactive and 3D on line gaming is becoming more popular.
