From the Dark Side--Another Round of OS Theft?

Wednesday we noted the shameless similarity of the Windows XP roll out activities to Apple's promotions of its products, including M$ Senior VP Jim Allchin dressing like Steve Jobs. Yesterday a Wired article claimed that the interfaces of Windows XP and Mac OS X are strikingly similar. Well, you can look for yourself since M$ posted screenshots of Windows XP. Quite frankly they are not similar at all, in my opinion, except for the use of a bright blue color. However, notice the image for Connor's login (fourth from the top). If the duck looks familiar, it's because it is virtually identical to one of the login images from the Multiple Users control panel of Mac OS 9.x! GE's motto used to be "Progress is our most important product." Maybe M$'s should be "Imitation is our only product."
