From the Dark Side--Windows XP Ships in September

one month ahead of its planned official release date in late October according to this News.Com article. We hope it's an improvement over the second public beta. It killed our test Compaq Presario. After clicking install, the Compaq rebooted and died with a black screen. It doesn't boot from a "Recover" CD nor from an "Emergency" floppy disk--it's dead as a doornail.
