PowerBook G4 Accidental Shut Off Fix

The latest issue is that some PowerBook G4s inexplicably shut off when moved. According to Bill Steinberg the problem results from the battery not fitting completely into the cavity which allows the battery corner with the contacts to rotate slightly upward when pressure is put on the diagonally opposite corner of the battery. He fixed the problem by putting several layers of tape on the underside of the corner of the battery that can be depressed until it is solid. One could also put tape in the battery cavity. [Ti List]
