1 GHz G4 CPU Upgrade to Ship

From a press release, "Other World Computing announced that it is the first reseller worldwide to ship the PowerLogix PowerForce Series 100 1GHz G4 upgrade. This is the first and fastest upgrade available for Apple PowerMac G4 AGP 350, 400, 450 and 500MHz models, Apple PowerMac G4 "Gigabit Ethernet" single 400 and dual 450 or 500MHz models, and for Apple PowerMac G4 Cube 450 and 500MHz models. OWC Retails the 1GHz upgrade retails for $789.95." Less expensive upgrades to 700 and 800 MHz are also available. This is great news for those older Macs since the speed of CPU upgrades, G3 and G4, has been stuck at 500 MHz for the last couple of years. The OWC web site is showing 3 days to shipping as of publication time.
