Electrovaya PowerPad PowerBook Batteries

will be offered through CompUSA soon according to a recent press release called to our attention by reader Bob Friede. The PowerPad batteries are the lithium ion polymer type and are claimed to provide 4X and 6X the time of standard PowerBook batteries. They retail off Electrovaya's web site for US$429 and US$529 but are expected to be less form CompUSA.
