Tip--Eliminating Unwanted Software Updates

If you do not need or want a particular software update (like the many printer drivers or localized language packages that simply take up hard disk space) and do not want it to be listed every time you run Software Update, then simply highlight it and select "Make Inactive" under the Update menu. You can always activate them again by selecting "Show Inactive Updates" under the Update menu.
