[Update] Shawn King Quits The Mac Show Live according to MacCentral. Shawn King was founder and the host of The Mac Show Live which recently webcast via QuickTime each Wednesday at 9 pm ET. MacCentral reported that he resigned due to differences with Mac Show Productions, apparently the current owner.

[Update] Aliens vs Predator Update v1.0.2 for OS X is now available for download, right on the heels of v1.0.1a. It's not listed on MacPlay's download page but MacUpdate and Version Tracker have a direct URL.

[Update] Free Maya Personal Learning Edition from Alias|Wavefront is coming in February according to their press release. A|W will provide Maya, the top 3D graphics and animation application, free to single users for non-commercial use. The Personal Learning Edition, with a few restrictions like not accepting industry standard plug ins, will be available as a download or a $5.00 plus S&H CD. We somehow missed A|W's announcement during Macworld week.
