Consumer Reports High on Apple--Finally

From Dana Baggett, the June 2003 issue of Consumer Reports magazine landed in my mail box today. Among other things, computers and monitors are rated:

  • In the "Standard LCD Monitor" category, Apple's 17" Studio Display is tops among 20 models rated! "Excellent overall."
  • The eMac gets favorable mention in the "Budget Desktop" category.
  • In the category of "Repairs" Apple scored the lowest percentage of computers needing repairs among seven brands rated by more than 39,000 respondents to CR's annual questionnaire.
  • In the category of "Technical Support" Apple was rated tops in all four rated criteria. No other brand came close.
