The new Keynote application costs $99 but everyone in the keynote audience got a free copy. It is a terrific presentation application that supports full alpha channel Quartz graphics. Steve Jobs demoed its ability to rotate images and make them transparent. There are built-in tables and charts with an image library of 100 images. Keynote has 12 built-in themes and numerous professional transitions. It owrks with every known graphics standard and is compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint. It imports and exports PowerPoint, PDF and QuickTime files. This just may be the application that finally allows us to be completely Microsoft free! It is available today.
