We downloaded this Apple web browser Despite it being a public beta release, we have been having so much fun with it that it delayed our updated report. According to Steve Jobs, Apple made the browser based on an open source KHTML linus browser to get speed and to innovate. Using I-Bench it loads html three times faster than Internet Explorer, runs javascript twice as fast as IE and launches 40 per cent faster than IE. QuickTime, Flash and Google search are built in. The way it handles bookmarks is really simple and cool. There is even a bug button to tell Apple if some web site has a problem with it.

We tried Safari out on everything we normally visit and it is truely the fastest web browser we have ever used. It renders pages extremely fast and had no problems with javascript that we have had with IE, Netscape, Mozilla and Chimera.. Needless to say, Safari is now our web browser of choice.
