Contrary to common wisdom, I think that innovation is more likely to come from large companies who recognize that they need to develop new intellectual properties and making investments in that regard either internally or externally. It feels like we've reached the limit of "me too" products and the industry is beginning to sag under its weight. If we don't continue to innovate, we run the risk of losing the enthusiasm of our customers who, when energized may purchase 3 or 4 games a year on average but when disillusioned may only purchase the 1 or 2 games that they know will appeal to them.
