Spammers Socked with $2 Million Fine in California
according to this Yahoo News article. The convicts sent millions of spam on how to spam and were charged under the older 1998 California Anti-Spam law. The new law is more stringent and allows spam recipients to file lawsuits against spammers to the tune of $1,000 per email. [Dana Baggett]
