The problem is worse than the FTC staff imagined, they concluded at the end of the 3-day spam conference in Washington DC according to this AP article [Dana Baggett]. Here is a Washington Post summary. The spam conference was sponsored by the Federal Trade Commission. Let's hope they follow up really quickly.
