Hitachi Making Embedded Microdrive

Apple's iPod mini uses a 4-GB version of Hitachi's 1-inch microdrive that is technically removable. However, according to this article Hitachi is working on a fully built-in microdrive for devices like music players. It will be even smaller that the current removable drive. [Dana Baggett]
