Commentary--Yes, We Know Eminem's Producer Has Sued Apple

over Apple's use, in an ad for the iTunes Music Store, of a few words from Eminem's hit song of last year "Lose Yourself." The words are "sung" by a 10-year old, not Eminem. Eminem, whose name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, or his producer apparently thinks that this minimal use of words from his song is actually his endorsement of Apple's iTunes Music Store and wants on the order of $10 Million as an endorsement fee instead of a usual and customary royalty. Nevermind that Eminem has never endorsed any product and probably has not sued any record station or their advertisers or even MTV, for that matter, for not paying for his "endorsement" when they play his whole song by him on their stations....
