Apple iSight Update v1.0.2 for the iSight Camera is Out

and available for download via the Software Update preference pane or from this Apple web page. According to the ReadMe file:

The iSight 1.0.2 update provides improved auto exposure and auto white balance functionality, enhanced IIDC compliance and better overall performance. The iSight 1.0.2 update is recommended for all iSight users.

We used the Software Update preference pane to get the updater. It is automatically stored in the Applications->Utilities folder. When we plugged in our iSight, the updater automatically launched and a dialog box said we needed to update our iSight's firmware from 1.0.

We can confirm that our iSight now produces a much better picture, both in exposure and in color balance. [Dana Baggett]
