Brief Hands-On Report--Apple released AirPort Update 2006-002 for Intel-based 'Books

AirPort Update 2006-002 is available for download via Software Update or as a stand-alone file from this Apple Web page. According to the ReadMe file,

AirPort Update 2006-002 improves AirPort compatibility in the following computers:

- MacBook Pro (15-inch Core 2 Duo)
- MacBook Pro (17-inch Core 2 Duo)
- MacBook (13-inch Core 2 Duo)

We downloaded and installed AirPort Update 2006-002 via Software Update on our 15" MacBook Pro C2D with no problem. We haven't had any troubles connecting to our office AirPort network consisting of AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express base stations. Our AirPort network is "g-only", hidden, requires a pre-specified MAC address to connect and uses the WPA security protocol. After applying AirPort Update 2006-002 we still connect just as easily.
