From the Dark Side--Microsoft Settled California Antitrust Suit for $70 million in Vouchers

Here we go again. According to Reuters, Microsoft offered $70 million in vouchers on new computer hardware and software to settle the antitrust claims of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Contra Costa County, Los Angeles County, Santa Clara County and San Mateo County. The vouchers are to be divided between the state and local governments. While details were not announced, we assume those entities will likely simply buy more Microsoft products and the lawyers will rake in huge attorney's fees. The deal is pending court approval.
