Battle of the Gaming Consoles, a Free Workshop on Wii vs X-Box 360 vs Playstation 3 this Saturday
This workshop is complimentary and open to everyone interested in learning about, promoting, and working in any area of game development. In addition to the hands-on console displays, trends in game design and critical skill sets for game developers will be discussed.
"With this workshop, AIU is providing a unique opportunity for attendees to delve deeper into today’s most popular gaming consoles to find out what really makes them tick," said Tom Takach, Dean for the School of Information Technology and program chair for the game design and development program at AIU South Florida. "Electronic game fans will find this workshop to be a real eye-opener to the opportunities that exist in the modern game design industry."
AIU offers a comprehensive approach to game design. Students can learn to create software and utilize game engines to produce and develop games. They also have the opportunity to learn various programming languages, modeling and animation skills, networking principles, and business and marketing approaches.
