Mac OS X 10.4.9 "Option-Command-Eject" Key Command "Delay" Confirmed

As a follow up to yesterday's article on the Control-Eject simultaneous keystroke sequence, the "Option-Command-Eject" simultaneous key sequence causes a Mac to quickly drop into sleep mode. In Mac OS X 10.4.9, it also takes a slight press-and-hold keystroke action (a slight "delay") to put our Macs into sleep mode.

The issue is not actually a "delay" with most Macs, it's a change in the nature of how the keys are pressed. We still think this is a feature since putting a Mac to sleep inadvertently can cause problems. [Bill Fox]
