Podcasting with MyMac.com Journalist Guy Serle on Saturday at WAPi Monthly Meeting

Journalist Guy Serle, a regular contributor to Washington Apple Pi (WAPi) Journal in the past, will share his podcasting experiences at the March WAPi General Meeting on Saturday, March 24, at 9:30 am at Fairfax County's Luther Jackson Middle School's multi-purpose room. This presentation is of equal interest to PC users, as podcasts apply equally to both Macintosh and PC computer users.

"Podcasting is a great way to share information. The preparer who knows his/her subject matter can quite effectively present 'knowledge nuggets' in an easy listening format'" declared Pat Fauquet, Vice President for Programs. "We the consumer download and listen to the podcaster's wise or funny words when we have a few spare moments. This could be in the doctor's waiting room, at the drug store waiting for a prescription or using exercise equipment. The podcasts can fill our thirst for knowledge without a visit to your local public library for a book to read."

The meeting, open to the public, starts at 9:30 am at the Jackson Middle School, 3020 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA, 22042. The session starts with traditional question and answer period, followed by break-out sessions with a class offered for each Mac user skill level . The group assembles again in the multi-purpose room for Guy Serle's podcasting presentation. The meeting concludes with club business and an auction of computer-related items. Members and guests are invited to join Washington Apple Pi leadership team and meeting speakers for informal (buy-your-own) lunch at a local restaurant to continue your fellowship and discussions.
