Observing Macs in Action--Creative Hair Fashions, Brunswick, ME

When our New England Editor recently stepped into his wife's hair salon, Creative Hair Fashions of Brunswick, ME, to pick her up after an appointment, he discovered, much to his pleasure, that the young lady at the front desk was using a 15" iMac circa 2003 to make appointments for customers. He asked her, the proprietor's daughter, about it and she said matter-of-factly that she had "always used a Mac."

He asked her if she was using a proprietary scheduling program or possibly something she had adapted? "Oh no," she replied. She was using iCal. It came with her iMac and she didn't have to make any changes to it. It just worked.
