Macs in School--Apple iBooks fueling Technology Immersion in Louisiana

Students and teachers at Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA, will be getting iBooks to "replace" textbooks. The program, establishing a Digital Academy at Bolton, covers teachers and students in Bolton's gifted program as well as all 11th-graders and a majority of seniors. Internet will be available wirelessly and students will be allowed to take the iBooks home. The program is funded by several state grants and the Virtue Foundation.
