On the Darkside
On the Darkside from reader Dana Baggett, "Heard on MarketPlace on NPR tonight that among testimony the Justice Dep't has
received, Compaq says that Microsoft threatened denial of access to Windows 95
if they failed to feature MS's Explorer browser. Also, I heard comments last
night on NPR from Ralph Nader who apparently is no computer buff, but I
thought accurately portrayed Microsoft not an innovator and inventor, but a
copier and intimidating marketer. Nader feels the real concern against the
public interest is Microsoft's move to acquire cable stations and other media
outlets."
