From The Dark Side--Microsoft Tries To Cut Off Justice Department's Air Supply

by lobbying Congress for funding cuts to the Justice Department's Antitrust Division according to a Washington Post article. Microsoft is now a bigtime player in the Washington scene doing what most regulated industries do, i.e. trying to hamstring the regulatory/enforcement agencies budget-wise to reduce their effectiveness. Unfortunately, I see most succeed, an aspect of living too close to the "action" that promotes cynicism.
