UPDATE--Open Transport Tuner v1.0 Dial-Up Issue

Early this morning Dana Baggett reported having problems with his dial-up connection when OT Tuner 1.0 was installed. Removal of the extension cleared up the connection problems. I had no problems with OT Tuner on a cable connection with the gateway computer, a B&W G3, or any computer connected via AirPort--including an iBook and a 2400c using a WaveLAN--until serendipitiously my cable connection went down a short time ago and I tried my AT&T dial-up backup/travel internet service. Out of five tries, connections apparently were made on four. However, on all of the four connections, neither Netscape 4.7 nor Outlook Express 5.0.1 would work. Netscape returned a no socket error and OE returned a network error. Disabling OT Tuner resulted in three successive solidly-working connections. My obvious advice is to not enable OT Tuner 1.0 with a dial-up connection.
