Apple Network Administrator v4.0 Conundrum

From Wayne Wilkin, "Ok Apple in it's infinite wisdom gave us the client addition of Apple Network Administrator toolkit client on the OS 9 CD. In the readme that comes with it on the OS 9 CD it says that you can go to the URL listed in the readme ("http://www.apple.com/networking/ana") to obtain information on how to obtain the 4.0 Administrator software. Well when you go to the site the only thing listed is info about the 3.5 Admin. So after making tons of calls to Apple I have finally found out that the only way to get the 4.0 Admin software is to purchase the AppleShare IP 6.3 CD. The story even gets better. I own AppleShare IP 6.0. Apple provides free updates to bring you up to 6.3. But do you think they would include in those updates the Admin Software for Network Administrator Toolkit. Not a chance. So let me get this straight, I paid almost $3000.00 for a 150 users license a year ago that I now can't use because Apple doesn't sell a stand alone version or an upgrade of ANAT. And even though I own version 6.0 of IP and the upgrades don't cover the Network Admin Software they're telling me that the only way to obtain it is to buy a second copy of AppleShare IP 6.3, which by the way I don't need just to get and upgrade to Network Admin 4.0. Talk about a rip off. Just my opinion, that sucks." [Not a very reasonable policy to me either--Bill.]
