AppleWorks 6 -- More, Part 2

I loaded AW6 on my iMac DV SE today and used it much of the day without a single problem. I could not replicate the problem experienced by Dana and Derek that was posted yesterday. The word processor saved and revised documents and margins with no problem. The proper page size remained selected and no documents were lost.

I did notice that the Navigation Services window on Mac OS 9 is relatively slow. It is normally a bit slow on all applications but AW6 is perceptibly slower even on a 400 MHz iMac.

MacLinkPlus 9.7 worked well in tandem with AW6 to translate WordPerfect documents. It is unfortunate that AW6 doesn't come with much file translation capability but MacLinkPlus works fine. I also tried the new presentation (slides) module. Unfortunately, AW6 will not import PowerPoint 98 files and, of course, MacLinkPlus 9.7 was no help.
