El Paso, TX,

--"The El Paso Independent School District school board last night voted to place over 2000 PCs at a cost of over 2 million dollars in each elementary classroom in the district. Each school [initially] was allowed to vote on the type of platform they wanted. The overwhelming number of schools picked Macs. However, when the decision went higher up the red tape food chain, the choices of the teachers were overridden and the decision was made to make it all PC's. It appears that EPISD is now slowing going to start replacing all Macs with PCs as well.

"Apple should have some kind of executive swat team that goes out and helps school districts when these changes take place. We have been telling the Apple reps for years that this was coming, but they only got interested when the PO was changed."

I am sure there are more examples out there.
