From the Dark Side -- Antitrust Chess Match Continued

yesterday as Judge Jackson stayed ruling on Microsoft's first request for a penalty delay since M$ hadn't filed an appeal yet, M$ then filed its appeal and again asked for a stay of its penalties, the DC Appellate Court accepted the appeal and promised an expedited hearing with an unusual 7 judge (en banc) panel and the Justice Department filed for an expedited hearing by the Supreme Court as provided in antitrust law under the Expediting Act no less. Judge Jackson is expected to certify the Justice Department's request. If so, the next move will be up to the Supreme Court to determine if they will hear it now or, one way or the other, later.
