Additional Mac OS X 10.1.2 Update Issues

Copy and Paste doesn't work from some Classic applications to some X applications. We have this problem between Adobe GoLive 4 and Internet Explorer 5.1.3 and it has been reported by others on lists that we subscribe to.

No Sound After Sleep was reported by several readers, one with a 533DP, and on several lists that we subscribe to. We do not have the problem with our Macs, including our 533DP.

[Update] More Mac OS X 10.1.2 Update Use Notes:

Automatic Software Update Fixed: From Dana Baggett, "While viewing a page in NS 6.2.1 the Software Update icon showed up in the Dock. Clicking on it revealed that iTunes 2.0.3, which I have not yet downloaded and installed, was available, etc. It seems apparent now that Software Update has been 'fixed' with the release of Mac OS X 10.1.2."

MCE Data Shuttle PC Card Drive Not Recognized: While 10.1.2 is supposed to have provided support for some PC card storage devices and it does, we have struck out. Neither our ZiO! SmartMedia card reader nor our MCE Data Shuttle PC card drive enclosure are recognized. Well, maybe we are not out since that is only two strikes. Other PC cards that we have that are not recognized are: FireWire-to-Go, Macally USB and Macsense EtherCard.

[Update] Virex January Virus Definitions are available via the eUpdate button on the Virex application. We updated our copy of 6.1 while running in Classic Mode of Mac OS X 10.1.2.
