QuickTime 5 Preview 3 is Available

for download since last night from Apple's QuickTime page as Macs Only! was first to forecast last weekend based on the beta9 called PR3 and released then to developers. Of course, it was somewhat of a no brainer with Preview 2 expiring yesterday. Apple's servers were jammed last night. [Update: It's available through Akamai's servers now so the snarl is gone. The control panel and extensions of Public Preview 3 are labelled 5.0b11 (Curiously, the Apple System Profiler says 5.0b17!), newer than the weekend's developer edition update of 5.0b9. Dana Baggett installed it over 5.0b9 with no problems.]
