USB 2.0 Not Until 2002

according to IBM's Leo Suarez in this InfoWorld article. USB 2.0 is a FireWire competitor with a speed spec of 480 mbps, 20 per cent faster than the current FireWire spec of 400 mbps, being pushed by Intel. Hopefully by then FireWire will be doing 800 mbps. Currently, USB does only 12 mbps.
