, DVD+R/DVD+RW, which is not compatible with the DVD format used by Apple, DVD-R/DVD-RW. The format used by Apple and a number of other major computer/drive manufacturers is the most compatible with consumer DVD players. Of course, that doesn't faze Microsoft who could use its Windows operating system monopoly to leverage the spread of the DVD+ format to become the defacto standard by simply not (or poorly) supporting the more common DVD-R/DVD-RW format.
