The Other Shoe Drops--Netscape Finally Sues M$

as a result of Microsoft's conviction for violating the Sherman Antitrust Act according to this CNet article. Netscape's lawsuit, along with the other 100+ private lawsuits, is the real penalty phase of Microsoft's antitrust trial. The Justice Department and States are focused on preventing Microsoft from violating the law in the future. Netscape, on the other hand, alleges damages from Microsoft's illegal behavior and is out to collect up to triple damages plus obtain other relief that is more restrictive than the Justice Department's settlement.
