Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy in Monroe, WI, Adds Apple Mobile Computing Lab
The reasons for selecting Apple's solution are that it is easy to manage, doesn't require extra malware software and it can run Windows if needed, according to the IT advisor. The principal, who applied for the grant from the Board, believes that Apple has the best hardware with the longest life expectancy, built to withstand use by kids, plus it's user friendly.
The Apple Mobile Computing lab, a set of 15 laptops, a printer and wireless Internet access on a wheeled cart, will augment and existing computer lab at the school. This will mean more access to technology by more kids. The school also has a $1000 donation to buy software for the mobile lab. More... and more... [Dana Baggett]
