Reader Earl Britt responded to John Christie's comments on some of the points in Earl's Open Letter to Steve Jobs. I'm closing this off with the hope that Apple will continue to offer computers in the sub-$2000 market. The IDE (as opposed to SCSI) hard drive has been one of the major problem areas for Apple's (and the clones') past offerings in this range--the tens of dollars saved per unit were definitely not worth the trouble, frustration and animosity it created.
