Reader John Christie commented on some of the points in the Open Letter to Steve Jobs by Earl Britt that I posted yesterday. I've added his letter to the page. Basically, John believes that it is not fair to criticize what is near-rumor about the features of the upcoming "Gossamer" Macs and points out that one should be able to order one with a SCSI hard drive instead of an IDE. I certainly hope so because I've had it with IDE's and I plan to purchase a lowest-end "Gossamer" for home use. John also points out that Apple has recently begun to change its marketing practices and that could alleviate some of the other complaints.
