From John Forbes, "I use iTunes on a 450 MHz Cube and typically rip CD's at 5.1x. This is while it's playing from my playlist." Barrie Barrington wrote that his single G4 533 ripped at 8.3-8.9x. Others wrote saying that the rip rate varies a lot between CDs and tracks on the same CD so one has to use the same CD and track to compare among computer systems.
