From the Dark Side--M$ Antitrust Penalty Phase Gets Judge

The US DC District Court judge for the rehearing of the penalty phase of Microsoft's antitrust trial is Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly. Here is a News.Com cameo on her. From Dana Baggett, "This piece doesn't so indicate but according to a report on Marketplace, a business news program aired by NPR tonight, four District Court judges refused the assignment before this judge accepted. Here's the quote:

Sydell: "There was also a sign that the end of the anti-trust case against Microsoft might be in sight. The Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly accepted the case after it was turned down by four other District jurists. [Emphasis added.] Richard Dickson, a technical strategist at Hilliard Lyons, says the market also got a surge because no one wants to miss the moment when it finally bounces back."
