SPSS v10.0.8a Upgrade Patch

is available for download. SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is one of the top statistical analysis applications and a Mac version 10 came out last year after a long hiatus. SPSS 10.0.8 is an incremental release in which the following changes were made:

    1. Internationalization Support. SPSS 10.0.8 Macintosh supports single-byte language Macintosh operating systems and the input of characters for all single-byte languages (with the exception of Arabic and Hebrew). All modules of the product allow users to enter, display and operate using all national characters. Dates, times, currencies, and numbers are displayed in locale-appropriate ways, and operations including text comparison, text sorting and searching, case conversion, text truncation and editing, calendar-based calculations are appropriate to the locale.

    2. Improved Memory Utilization. SPSS 10.0.8 operates with more efficient and precise memory usage providing greatly improved stability and in some cases, dramatic improvements in calculation speed.

    3. Models Export Implemented. Export of models to *.mml and *.xml files has been implemented.

    4. IGraphs Export. New scaling dialogs for IGraphs were implemented to allow the user to fine-tune exported chart quality.

The patch also addresses many bugs.
