From the Dark Side--M$ Antitrust Penalty Hearing Today

The "Track B" hearing on the penalty phase of the non-settling states continuing case against Microsoft begins today. The nine non-settling states and the District of Columbia are seeking stronger penalties that those contained in the Justice Department's settlement. According to this Yahoo News article the hearings could last eight weeks. [Dana Baggett]

[Update] Mozilla 0.9.9 Very Popular--Alternate Mozilla 0.9.9 Download Locations: Mozilla.org has logged approximately 150,000 downloads of the 0.9.9 Milestone web browser in its first 48 hours on the wire. Interest in 0.9.9 has been so great that it overwhelmed the 100 Mbit full duplex link from ftp.mozilla.org with heavy traffic. Because of this, mozilla.org and Netscape have set up a new set of servers:

We have been using 0.9.9 in OS X 10.1.3 since it first came out and have encountered no problems. It has excellent performance and a nice Aqua-fied interface, along with cocoa-type pop-down dialog boxes. [Dana Baggett]

[Update] Graphite AirPort Base Station Firmware Update v3.84 is available for download from Apple's server. From the Read Me file:

"This software update is for the earlier graphite AirPort Base Stations only. The software fixes potential problems graphite Base Stations may exhibit when connected to Comcast or Rogers cable modems and services. This software is needed only if you have Comcast or Rogers cable modem service, and have not been able to connect through the base station. This software is not recommended and will not install on dual Ethernet Base Stations (Snow). System Requirements: an AirPort Base Station (Graphite) and AirPort SW v2.0.2."
