AirPort Extreme's 802.11g Protocol Expands in PC World

HP has followed Apple's lead and will use Wi-Fi g technology with its new Compaq Presario notebook and desktop computers, according to pcworld.com. Some people have expressed the opinion that Apple was too far out in front releasing AirPort Extreme in January since the 802.11g standard has not yet been finalized. However, it doesn't look like that is the case as more companies are developing products based on the final draft standard as Apple has done. [Dana Baggett]
