From the Dark Side 2--M$ Found Guilty of Patent Infringement AGAIN!

The jury in the latest case awarded Imagexpo $62.3 million in damages for Microsoft's infringement on their conferencing software according to this ZDNet article. [Dana Baggett]

Now, get this absolutely incredible statement from M$:

"As an intellectual property company that has invested heavily in research and development, we take patent infringement very seriously and respect the intellectual property rights of others."

Can you believe that? Microsoft apparently still believes that most everybody in the world is a totally brain-dead idiot, a belief perhaps based on their incredulity that so many people actually buy their products over and over again. Hmmm...maybe they are right!
