To whom it may concern:

I am writing to let you know how disappointed and partly dismayed I was at the phone sales agent with whom I spoke this morning at the Highland Park, Illinois, CompUSA store. My phone call was to inquire about the stock and price of the new Apple PowerPC G3 266 MHz desktop model. After being told that they were presently out of stock and that only one was on back order, I was finally asked "Why do you want to buy an Apple computer anyway. You know that you can't get much software at the stores." The next few moments were taken up with me explaining how satisfied I was with the computers, that I use Apple computers at work, and this is what I presently have at home. I do not know if the agent was trying to steer me towards PCs or to try to make a sale right there, but I feel that if one has to defend a choice of a planned purchase at a store, then that store does not deserve my business. I still intend to buy a new Apple PowerPC G3 system, but it will not be at CompUSA."
